The House that Casting Built is a queer-owned boutique development/casting house that provides a space for diverse, authentic casting in all forms of media. For fifteen years now, founders, Casting Directors and Co-Executive Producers Anthony Lucente and Risa Tanania have been casting real people that pair beautifully with a brand’s intention while also developing their own concepts alongside industry influencers. Anthony and Risa have demonstrated these skills across all platforms – TV networks, streaming platforms, brands seeking hosts/experts, as well as commercial production companies and agency producers creating digital content.

Anthony Lucente began his career in the scripted world working for All My Children, one of his favorite childhood daytime dramas. His love for the story was what caused him to make the shift from production and writing to unscripted casting, where the talent IS the story, and finding them is the fun. Over the years, Anthony has cast over 200 projects, some of which include the popular series: Max's Swiping America, Netflix's Dating Around, Snapchat's Coming Out, Bravo's The Real Housewives of Dallas, Food Network's Chef Boot Camp, TBS' The Misery Index, ABC's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and AMC's Comic Book Men as well as various Say Yes to the Dress spinoffs.

Originally from Bristol, RI, Scott has lived in NYC since 1992. He attended Bentley College in Waltham, MA where he studied Management & Marketing and did his graduate studies in Arts Management at Texas Tech University. While at TTU, he also did extensive undergraduate course work in acting and directing which led him back to performing. He moved to Dallas and worked at the Deep Elum Theater Garage and then booked a national tour. Following the tour, he moved to NYC. He supplemented his acting career with work as a freelance Casting Assistant for several Independent Casting offices until 1999 when he joined Charles Rosen Casting. Scott became a partner of Rosen & Wojcik casting in 2005. In 2009, the company transitioned to Wojcik | Seay Casting until 2021.  Now as the owner of Wojcik Casting Team, Scott and his associates continue the tradition of full service casting for theaters around the country as well as tours and all forms of talent-based entertainment.

His work as an Arts Presenter during college and grad school led to an interest in producing. To further that interest, Scott aligned his skills with two partners to form CRW Productions, a company that creates customized theatrical events. From 2002 till 2007 CRW produced projects that ranged from corporate fundraisers, philanthropic events to new musicals and developmental readings as well as a multi-million dollar product launch in South America.

In addition to casting, Scott pursues his interest in education by teaching audition skills and application on the concept of the business of acting. Some of Scott’s educational work includes a 10 week “Business of Acting” course and a 5 week On Camera commercial technique class. He teaches for SAG/AFTRA and has been a guest monologue coach for Vassar’s summer program, “Powerhouse”. Along with co-teacher Susan Pilar, he developed a 6 week curriculum called “FUSE”, designed to help recently graduated acting students bridge the gap between the academic and professional acting environment. Scott also works extensively with college theatre departments to help them better prepare for their NYC showcases.
